Frequently Asked Questions

• What are the main requirements for the project?
  The project must have the following:

  • Using Novu and sending notifications from at least one channel, please make sure you read our documentation and register to Novu
  • Have a frontend and a backend
  • Have been forked from the ConnectNovu README repository
• What categories will participants be ranked?
  Participants will be ranked (from 1 - 10) by the following categories:

  • Innovation and creativity
  • Usefulness and practicality
  • Quality and completeness of the solution
  • User experience and design

  The judges will be a mix of industry experts and Novu team members.
• What is the maximum number of people allowed to participate in a team?
  You can participate in a team of up to 5 people, however, the prize will be shared between the teammates
• How many projects can you submit?
  You can submit only one project.
• What frameworks can be used for the project?
  You can use any framework for the backend, however, Having a front for the project is a must and can be used by any framework (ex. React, Angular, Vue, Svelte, Vanilla).
• What languages can be chosen for the backend?
  You can choose any language for the backend.
• What is the deadline for submitting the code that must be created during the event?
  Code must be created during the event, and be submitted before 29.5
• What are the requirements for the GitHub repository?
  The GitHub repository must be public and on the same GitHub authentication handle.
• Do I need to use the Novu library?
  The apps must include the Novu library.
• Will an unfinished project be judged?
  We won’t be able to judge non-completed projects.
